Wall Street Scumbaggery runs deep and rampant in the Securities Industry
At all levels. I work within a small aspect of a tiny part of the securities industry. I'm far removed from the Corporate Sky rises of Wall Street. I huddle at a tiny cubicle in nowheresville doing a mundane, damned near meaningless task everyday, doing my unheralded part to keep a minuscule aspect of our financial economy rolling. Behind the scenes, in a back office.

All day long I speak with people that don't know what they are doing, and quite frankly are either so inept at doing their jobs or quite frankly just don't care. Due Diligence is a magical term that can be found in the realm of Unicorns and World Peace. It doesn't exist is what I'm getting at here.

The continuous attempts to defraud and bamboozle know no bounds. You don't need a portfolio like Madoff or Stanford to be a part of it.

I hate it. I hate listening to Fox News and CNBC and the remaining 4 GOP Congressman that seem to get a frequent pulpit to berate our Administration (by the people, for the people) for trying to keep these crooks in line. They only help dictate the health of our economy and your net wealth. Why would anyone want to police their activity? How did that work out?

I guess I hate most that the citizens of this country, despite valiant efforts by folks such as yourselves, still quite frankly just don't give a shit. There is no truth anymore, and common sense is right there along with Due Diligence it seems. Non existent.

1. So why do you continue contributing to something you hate?
Doesn't that make you feel dirty or like a crook?

2. Agreed
I walked out on a lot of money ten years ago - used to be a floor trader on the old Pacific Exchange in San Francisco - walked out because I couldn't live with myself and the greed, corruption and outright thievery.

Haven't had a good job or money since, but I'm pretty content.

Walk out of you don't like it.
