My anti RW comment to my boss at work....stunned silence
My office is entirely bushies in the midst of Chapel Hill, NC with me being the lone dem.

My boss is one of those sexual harassers and likes to say who he'd do in which office, etc. Just a total jerk.
Well, I gave my notice last week since I had found another job, so right now I have nothing to lose.
I had already gotten into a few heated arguments as they like to say that Al Gore caused 9/11 which I don't know WHERE they got that.. and criticise liberals in general. I just can't keep my mouth shut and accept this crap, so being the outspoken menopausal woman I am, I push right back. I only mention menopause because maybe it is the hormones, but I will say EXACTLY what is on my mind.

My boss comes out to the front office and begins mouthing off about people who are drugged out, former drunks who don't have a brain cell left, and from my office by the front I yell out, "you mean like Bush?"

Dead Silence, nobody breathed....

I sat is my office laughing my ass off to which my boss said that he would not make any comment.

This week might get dicey!

Ah well, yesterday he began attacking me and said he would hardly miss me for the amount of work I do to which I loudly told him to bite me.

Wait until I let the division mgr know what this clown has been up to once I am out of there. The last woman left for the same reasons as I am leaving and she only lasted 3 months with him.

I am....
counting down the days!

1. If you can prove...
He has been making comments about what he would like to do to whom, and creating the atmosphere you describe, and the div mgr is not his uncle, he's gonna be outta there.

I spoke on here about taking a tape recorder into work and was cautioned not to do so
I can name names, though.

6. I googled it and still can't figure it out.
They were all in agreement with this.
I guess that headline from Faux missed me as it doesn't make one iota of sense.

They are in fear that Al Gore will take it though to which I always say, GOOD!"

It's the thing I like most about not working outside the home.

7. You rock!
Glad you're getting out of there.

If you're interested . . . here's a nice little juvenile prank, that I used on a Fundie arsehole, a few years back:

By a package of cheap fish, like ocean perch, and take a small filet . . . and slip it under the bed liner of his big ole manly pickup. Or some other place. File cabinet, perhaps, on your last day.

Stinks to high heaven!

The guy I did this to, came into the office bitchin' about it a couple days after I did the awful fish prank. Evidently, his big ole dog scratched up the side of his big ole pickup--trying to get at that fish! Sweet revenge . . .

And tell him that men who talk about "who they'd do" are displaying why they DON'T.

13. I am thinking I may not finish my work week....lol
In all fairness to NC, he is from from an area where they believe women are subservient to men.

Since the division mgr had a closed door meeting with me when he hired me, advising me to tell him of any sexual harassment, I suspected it might be an issue, and I was right.

I have since found out the former gal had the same problem, so I am blowing the whistle.

14. The "bite me" comment was a nice touch. I am sure your colleagues, Bushies or not, are
secretly glad to see someone standing up to the abusive boss.

16. Privately, they are afraid my complaint will make things worse for them
I told them their names will not be brought up AT ALL. It is not about ME anyway.

It is more than the sexual harassment though as he will not return phone calls to customers and we receive complaints from customers all the time about him. We are constantly losing customers due to his procrastination and he is hurting the customers (and misleading them...another story).

I might be saving that office if they can just get rid of the bad manager.

22. No, but VERY closeby...I spend my lunch break in their parking lot
My co-workers are natives of Hillsborough, one is a native of Chapel Hill and the other is from the close to the coast.

One nice thing is I get to listen to Air America on my lunch break!

Oh side note: They all love Elizabeth Edwards.

Remind him that Al Gore WON the 2000 election, and that Kerry WON the 2004 election.

King george stole them both.
