3. Oh, my!
So, how are Alaskans feeling about their governor lately? It's hard to get any kind of info about her except on FOX. And all they talk about is Palin vs. Letterman!

:hi:

5. Not only "Oh, my!" but
this is what she was wearing when she and her mother participated in a walk for autism in New York. Nice way to represent Alaska, huh? If you haven't seen it, here's a jerky video of Sarah giving her little talk there and then changing from her red platform shoes into her sneakers. She's workin' it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RgYbaqz-3sM&eurl=http%3A%2F%2Ftheimmoralminority%2Eblogspot%2Ecom%2F&feature=player_embedded

15. i don't see anything wrong or inappropriate about that outfit.
she's 14. though, I hope she wasn't wearing those shoes. That's not good to wear for a long walk.

18. I don't see anything wrong with the outfit, per se
and I wouldn't have an issue with it at all if she were just another kid participating in the march. I just think if you're going to be up on a stage in some semi-official capacity as the first family of ANY state that maybe something a little less casual might be appropriate.

But like I said, maybe I'm getting too old and norms have changed more than I'm completely comfortable with. And with Sarah going on all the time about "absinence," and "conservative values" and "oh, I'm so offended by jokes about my daughters," you'd think maybe she'd tell her kids to dress in a way that wouldn't invite comments.

7. Having a filthy mind is a prerequisite to becoming a full-fledged Republican.
They can't quit thinking about pedophilia, butt-sex or bestiality, and everything they see or hear passes through a filter that makes it fall into one (or more) of those categories. When it's all three, they've hit the jackpot - their eyes roll back and they'll shudder for half a minute or so then slowly regain their composure. I think it's the holy rapture.

And while Letterman's joke may have been in poor taste (though, in the context of Levi (the baseball player) having knocked up Bristol (in the Palin's home) while Mom and Dad watched the game, it was brilliant), Sarah Palin, by continuing to promote the sexual objectification of her daughter and choosing to remain in the spotlight as a proxy for her daughter, is disgusting.

The RNC is going to declare Sarah Palin "Republican Mother of the Year" any minute now, 'cause that's how they roll.

8. ya know, using the kids is sick, just sick. It disgusted me when Amy Carter
was picked on, and Chelsea Clinton, and even though her fucking mother is doing it doesn't mean we hafta jump on the goddamn bandwagon. She's a teenager and heaven knows that's a a rough enough time to get through in one piece with a mom that's bat-shit crazy w/o having to be thrust in critical public eye.

let's lay off the kid and show a bit a class and focus on the real targets, eh?

If there is anybody who should be scrutinized, it's that creepy Todd character.
