If you were to write a book (or create a documentary) about acts of terrorism ...
... in the American continents, which incidents would you include?

Please include links so everyone else can learn about it.

2. This, I think, was the greatest, deadliest,
most virulent act of terrorism ever to be committed in North America.

I could be wrong. Something worse might have happened in Canada or Mexico, but I can't recall any right now.............

3. William Krar. Oh and this little tidbit that Wolf Blitzer let pass yesterday without comment
A thread of mine from 5 years ago-this was almost unreported except for, oddly, UPI

Check out this video. This guy was a FBI infiltrator in the neo-Nazi and white power movement for 4 years (with a partner). He wrote a book that sounds interesting. The point here is that apparently in 2006 some a cell fired automatic weapons on the site of a "Communist rock concert" and shut it down. I had never heard of it. Wolf of course just went on to the next prepared question (seriously you could say anything to Wolf he is clearly not listening)

Von Brunn as a 'Lone Wolf': Killers act alone, but these are not 'isolated incidents'

5. I personally doubt Von Brunn was a lone wolf... the acts of these lone wolves
remind me of the tactics used by the Red Brigades in both Germany and Italy... way after the fact both governments told us that the early lone wolf acts were carried out by cells.

4. Well I will have to divide it by external and internal to the nations involved
Let me start with Al Qaida (and you will quickly realize how thin the record is)

The attack on the Jewish center in Buenos Aires

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AMIA_Bombing

Of course the two bombings on the WTC in New York... do I really need links?

Internal to the nations

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/04/14/homeland-security-report_n_186834.html

http://www.splcenter.org/intel/intpro.jsp

Now to other nations...

The war on drugs in Mexico, Colombia and Peru

Include the FARC and a few other terror organizations such as Sendero Luminoso

But here is the truth, we have been "scared" about the Aryab... and Al Qaida... there have been THREE attacks starting wiht the WTC in `1992, But there are pages upon pages from the right wing... and a few less from the Earth Liberation Front.

Oh and I just linked to DHS and SPLC Intelligence Report because those are the needed starting point to the RIGHT Extremist in the US... but readying into them is quite long...

7. A history of terrorism in the US should include these
The early history of labor unions is a bloody one and I think the tactics used by mine owners in particular Qualify as terrorism.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lattimer_Massacre

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ludlow_Massacre

Also there is this. Any history of terror in America must include the racist vigilante attacks of the late 1800s early 1900s

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rosewood_massacre

Just because it is the "authorities" doing it does not make it any less terrorism. I point to the bloody history of westward expansion.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indian_Massacres

Our country has a long history of terror except in those days it was called manifest destiny.

8. Good collection.
I've been reading Zinn's People's History again and with all that's been happening, it's got me thinking how recent events fit into everything.

I'm glad to see your variety of choices and I have to agree about Manifest Destiny being terrorism.
