Art imitating life of futures times. The West Wing and DADT
Edited on Fri Jun-12-09 03:33 PM by OmmmSweetOmmm
I just started to watch the West Wing online and Season 1 Episodes 18 feels like they had a time machine to now, when they wrote it.

It deals with Pres. Bartlet running as a Democrat and then leading from the center and it also deals with DODT.

I don't know why I never watched the series when it was on until the last two seasons, but I'm watching great tv now!

For anyone interested, here is a link to the site that has streaming video links for the series, and go to Season 1 Episode 18 "Let Bartlet Be Bartlet" I find the two best links to view the series are Tudou and Sina.

4. Great TV, or topical TV, or great topical TV?
Edited on Fri Jun-12-09 03:43 PM by Deja Q
There are differences...

Topical has its time and place and merit. Trouble is, 99.99999% of it is based on something topical and we're trying to be bought into the notion that topical = creativity. I don't buy that belief; not for two attoseconds.

Also see "Shows, Reality (so-called)" for a nice tangent... :D
