"Just wait a little longer"

Last night, on our local PBS, they had two fundraisers - one centered on a great series of DooWop performances by the original singers, as they are today.

But the second ..... it was centered on "Freedom" music. The music that defined and served as the anthems for the Civil Rights struggles from the immediate post WWII era through the early 70s. Many great performances and many poignant memories.

But at one point there was a panoramic picture of marchers. One held a sign:


"We Won't Wait Any Longer"


How appropriate to today's civil rights struggle. The one being fought by and with our gay brothers and sisters.

Some things are simply unending.
