Sarah Palin Economics101
Edited on Tue Jun-09-09 09:37 PM by sarah553807
WARNING:I'M NOT MAKING THIS SHIT UP

During a recent interview with Fox News’s Sean Hannity, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R) once again criticized President Obama for “spreading the wealth” while at the same time boasting that Alaska spreads its own wealth. “We have a share of our oil resource revenue goes back to the people who own the resources. Imagine that,” she said. But somewhat shockingly, later in the interview (and in a part that did not air on Hannity’s program last night) Palin actually said that she would rather have Alaska pull in less money in oil revenues that more:

HANNITY: The price of oil is going up again. It’s not quite at $140 a barrel, but it’s certainly on its way up to $70 and $80.

PALIN: Yeah, well and I thank God it’s not at $140. You know people say, “Hey, Alaska! Eight-five percent of your state budget is based on the price of a barrel of oil. Aren’t you glad the price is going up?” I say, “No!” The fewer dollars that the state of Alaska government has, the fewer dollars we spend. And that’s good for our families and for the private sector.

The Mudflats writes, “The less we have, the less we spend? And here we all were worried about the economy. So exactly how much of the 85% of our state budget does she wish will go away? Inquiring Alaskan minds want to know. Welcome to the 2012 election.”

1. That woman is industrial-strength stupid.
The less money they have, the less they'll spend. Ooookayyy... If I have less money, I'll spend less, too. Logically, then, if I have no money at all, I won't spend any at all. That would be great! I won't buy anything! I'll be rich! Oh, wait... no; I'll starve, naked, in the cold.

2. Well, I make $70,000 per year..
but boy do I wish I only made $40,000 - 'cause if that was the case then I'd happily spend $30,000 less, and well HELL YEAH that would make me more awesome, and my life much more awesome.

Ohh.. wait.. that sounds crazy ass stupid? You mean if I really wanted to, I could continue to MAKE $70,000 and then either save or donate the extra $30,000 that I personally think that I don't need?

Huh... that's just beyond my comprehension.

Go Sarah Go. :eyes:

7. Palin's ideal: A cashless society
Hmmmm, now where have I heard that before? "Cashless society." Darn. Right on the tip of my tongue. What was it?

8. You're totally right of course..
That's the goal all Americans should aspire to. Make no income so you don't ever spend any income..

Warren Buffet, Bill Gates, et. al. should be completely and totally ashamed. Don't they realize how foolish they look to Mrs. Palin?

9. Well, None of Them..
That way I don't owe anyone any information. If I read books - then I would use the information I gained from them.. and I wouldn't want to do that. I feel it's much better to read & learn less, so you're not found guilty of spending your knowledge on things.
