Poll question: What do you think Ken Lay's credit score was?
Saw the post at:

And one has to wonder, since credit scores are supposedly such a reflection of one's personal character, then what do you think Ken Lay's credit score was?

1. Different than ours
He was in the "don't-fuck-with-this-guy-because-he's-well-connected" category.

2. I think that whole system is idiotic, and people ought to call "Bullshit!" on it.
Why does some clown, who OWES a shitload of money and carries a bunch of plastic that he pays down on in lockstep fashion, get a "good" score, anyway?

Why does a person with a nice nest egg, a paid off home and car, who pays their bills religiously-- and doesn't carry plastic-- get a "less good" score than the idiot in debt up to his ass?

Makes no sense to me.

They should call it "Who's the Best Sucker Rat on the Treadmill, Feeding the Usurious System To Keep it Afloat?" score, not "credit" score. The person who actually OWNS assets and isn't in debt as a way of life is the best credit risk, IMO.

8. Since it reflects personal character, he must have the highest.
I do assume that character negatively affects credit ratings. Greed alone should assure that.

9. Spy Magazine Did an Article in the 90s
about Donald Trump's finances. The author claimed that he was never nearly as rich or financially solid as he claimed, but no one ever called him on it because -- after all -- he's Donald Trump. He basically used the media as his credit reference.
