8. It takes a special kind of stupid
to deny global warming because of a local condition like this.

9. Yep. Of course, it's also stupid to confirm global warming on the basis of this or that local...
condition.

Thankfully, that's not what scientists do.

12. That's right. Scientists use tens of thousands of local observations.
Not just one.

19. Climate change is the correct term
But, you know that.
So, considering it is an anomaly, would you not concede that it is climate CHANGE?

Our area is 12 inches of rainfall OVER the yearly avg and we still have 7 months to go. I consider that CHANGE.

6. It's been cold for 3 years
It's been downright miserable up here in the NE. When it's not raining, it's colder than normal. Friggin' heat coming on in June - uggh.

10. I imagine that the eruption of the volcano in Alaska has some effect
it has been colder and wetter than usual. Two years ago I was able to plant the 1st week of April. This year not till the middle of May.

11. It has been a really cool spring here in Fargo.
It's been in the 50s all weekend, and it's JUNE, it should be in the 70s!

The sun-spot shortage I've heard the sun's having must be offsetting global warning.

15. "Solar minimum?" Is that what the sun-spot absence is called?
Apparently the correlation with temps is fairly strong.

So when the sun spots come back, the GW deniers will find some other excuse for heat waves and horrible storms.

18. our local weather person did a little observation
that showed we have had 1 tornado warning this year compared with 13 last year. and we've had half of the severe storm warnings than compared to last year at this time. because of the cooler air.

our heat has turned on in the middle of the night...in june!
