They deserve credit for the huge debt our country is now trying to cope with. George W Bush added almost 6 trillion dollars to the debt in just eight years. Over 90% of the debt accumulated during Democratic Administrations was leftover from the previous Republican President. Let's give them credit for that.

They left the present Administration with two on-going wars, one in Iraq and one in Afghanistan. At least one of those was a war of choice. In their efforts to "protect us" they resorted to torture and techniques that were in violation of the Geneva Convention and other treaties we had signed. This put us into a terrible hole and did great damage to our credibility around the world. Let's give them credit.

They removed most of the regulations that would supervise banks and financial institutions and brought our country to the edge of economic collapse. They created the situation for the worst economy since the Great Depression. Let's give credit where credit is due.

4. 6 trillion dollars of jack apple shit
Six trillion well spent dollars could have built a new American foundation. This is six trillion ill spent dollars. It was like Bush was doing a Brewster's Millions with our economy, spending nothing but buying nothing.

Hand wringing about a number is one thing and has an impact but the waste is the real sin. We blew up some sand and gave billionaires a little extra padding for their nests. I don't know how one would even begin to explain this nonsense, much less excuse it.

7. But they achieved their objective.
I really believe their goal was to steal and get richer doing it.

5. They deserve credit
Edited on Sun Jun-07-09 05:57 PM by libodem
for having the where with all to have billionaire financed think tanks to fuck with the Democrats at every turn. They deserve credit for having the money to finance fuck heads like Ken Starr. How in the hell have they just walked away from 8 years that stared with ENRON, the fall of California, 9/11 and ended with a run on the whole world economy. And no one can rub to shekel's together to start any private investigations? Congratulations to the Republicans for getting away with murder and mayhem and not one investigation public or private is brought to bear. How much White water and Rose Law Firm horse shit did we have to her about. And not one thing was substantiated. They deserve credit for Advertising and Marketing an idea factory that is counter to the welfare of all middle-class Americans---but because it's wrapped in silvery paper and tied up with a big red bow we'll buy it. Democrats can not afford to be naive about the mal-intent these fuckers have for us.
Just because we would not intentionally set out to cause harm to their brand does not mean that they will not lie, cheat, and steal to about ours. Non-partisan, non political my ass. The Republicans are the Mafia of politics wrapped in religion and the flag. They care nothing about actual morality they only use as a weapon against their enemies.

You guys see the article about conservatisms link to being easily repulsed? These people make a living out of being shocked and disgusted about the behavior of others. Meanwhile they hide the fact that they themselves are fully engaged. They can have credit for bing the do as I say not as I do gang.
