Deadline looms for Palin to pay for family travel

Jun 5th, 2009 | ANCHORAGE, Alaska -- Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin has until June 23 to reimburse the state for an estimated $10,000 in costs associated with trips taken by her children, under an agreement resolving an ethics complaint against her.

Palin was given 120 days to repay the state after the late February agreement filed by an Alaska Personnel Board special investigator. The complaint alleged Palin abused her power by charging the state when her children traveled with her.

The investigator, attorney Timothy Petumenos, has said Palin will repay the state for 10 trips.

State administrative director Linda Perez is responsible for tallying the exact figure, according to Palin spokeswoman Sharon Leighow.

they are travelling on AF1 with the President. Room and board they should. However, it is different if they are flying commercial.

so the actual trip count would produce excessive fines leading to a financial hardship. the candidate pleads hardship, promises not to fight a penalty, linda perez picks and chooses suitable trips and leaves unaccounted nor paid for, some undisclosed number of trips. crime pays.

Just because her attorney believes it will all go away because HE checked off SOME of those trips and reached a settlement amount, does NOT make it so. GO GIT HER I.R.S! She also took $20,000 of the State's money and gave it to her Assembly of God church of the witch-hunter. GO GIT HER - this ignorant grifter makes Blago look like a boy scout IMO.
