I guess the oil Co's are doing their best
Edited on Thu Jun-04-09 07:53 PM by JANdad
to sabotage any chance of an economic recovery. Gas in my neck of the woods is now $2.85 per gallon.

I truly wonder what it will take for the American people (read: normal, average) to have a voice in government. I fear that it will take a complete revolution...sigh

1. I'm going to be forced to quit my job if gas gets over $4.
I thought things were bad last year, at least I had extra money then. I hope Obama steps in and stops the oil companies from raping us like they did last year.

2. It's not like he has nothing else to do.
We could only hope that oil companies would act responsibly or at least try. I know it has much to do with lots of things, but we really don't need a spike in energy right now.

6. In this economy it's the last thing we need.
I'm a courier so I have to monitor gas prices very carefully. It sucks that there's nothing we can do to stop the speculation bullshit.

3. He'll have Geithner handle this for him and then we will have another
price increase and add another tax of $1.00 per gallon for road repairs..

4. I heard many of the bailout recipients have 'invested' oil reserves hoping the price rises....
How is that for a kick in the head of the folks who saved them from going under?

They take our taxpayers' money and drive the price of oil up....
