I saw the most horrible bumpersticker the other day.
Edited on Mon Jun-01-09 10:32 AM by Kitty Herder
My mother and I were driving in Salt Lake City, on our way to help my brother move and we saw this:

We both expressed shock and dismay and I gaped open-mouthed at the bleached blonde woman driving the car, while my mom scowled at her and almost flipped her off. (My Mormon mom does NOT flip people off.) The girl looked confused, couldn't seem to understand why we would be giving her dirty looks.

I don't understand people. How can they be so cruel and lacking in compassion? Do they even understand what has happened to detainees at Gitmo? Are they even paying attention?

Maybe not....
I took the link out of the source view and it DOES show up in the preview window but not on the post?

Anyway it said
"I love Gitmo~ Lock the terrorists up" with a pic of Bin Forgotten behind bars.

The poster was not being lazy or pretentious.... there was a pic posted. I downloaded it and put another link to it. Now play nice.

It is an awful sticker!

6. You should be able to see it now.
To be honest, it was less about laziness and more about the ugly, passive-aggressive desire to use some rightwing asshole's bandwidth. I have to admit that was the thought going through my head at the time. I'm evil, I know. I shall repent of my wicked ways.

3. Trust me...
There's no way it's a bigger fail than "Support Our Unborn Troops".

11. Heh, come visit red-state California sometime.
I saw a bumper sticker that advocated nuking Mecca just last week. It was on the back of a pickup with several other equally erudite proclamations of intelligence and civility.

Kind of a normal thing around here.

14. Well, she's never seen Gitmo...
...which may be exactly what she loves about it--that she is freed from the burden of having to think about Gitmo, or the people held captive there.
