2. Trudeau gets better and better .........
He doesn't let anyone off the hook. That's his genius.

I love that I own two of his original 'toons - a Sunday and a weekday. A couple of my most precious possessions...........................

3. This is a tough one. Were the other Presidents depicted this early?
Reagan was Maxheadroom, Quayle was a feather, Bush1 was a point of light, Clinton was a syrup drippin' waffle (wit butta) and Bush a featherless, battered Roman helmet.

With this as background....I'm going with

Change.

5. Bush started out with the cowboy hat, which then became imperial centurian helmet.

23. No, Bush was the asterisk.
At first, it was an asterisk wearing a cowboy hat, then when the Iraq War started, he donned the Roman helmet, which became more battered as time went on and the war turned bad.

Obama had better wrap up the Iraq war within the 16 months or so he promised, or Trudeau may have him don the helmet...

31. Absolutely! The asterisk is there to remind us of his illegitimacy ...
the fact that Bu**sh** had to cheat to "win" either election is the one thing about him that deserves to be remembered.

Obama is iniconographiable at this point, and Trudeau touches on this, and dings the "annointed one" meme on the way out as a bonus.

Instead of a thought bubble, he could "twitter" his words and they will display on the Blackberry!

I'm going to have to agree with you!

11. I was watching all week, waiting for Friday for it to show and...cliffhanger
COME ON GARY SHOW US THE ICON!
This is a pretty funny strip though. "Maybe it's because you're a change agent-too complex and dynamic to be reduced to one"

20. The thing about a Trudeau icon is that you can't really predict it
They only become recognizable *after* Trudeau uses it.

So it can't/won't be something obvious.

I think.

25. I think it would be awesome if Obama dodged an icon and was actually drawn in the strip
Clinton was a flip floppin waffle. GHW Bush an empty space. W an empty space with a gladiator helmet on top. Ray-gun was rappin ronnie "Max Headroom" icon..

26. if I was to venture a guess as to which icon Obama would be assigned
I would guess -

A Obama blackberry with whatever current issue (good, bad, ugly) being seen as a message in the Presidential Inbox.

I would prefer that Obama be drawn however.
