Cheney is a diversion. Here is why.
Edited on Fri May-22-09 10:38 AM by Stuart G
While most people have a negative opinion about Cheney, and most people have a negative opinion about torture and what to do about it, there is one thing almost all people hate, with a vengeance.

The Credit Card Companies

All of us know what crooks they are, have been and always will be.
The Republicans enabled them, allowed them to gouge all of us, and they know it. Further, the Republicans did nothing to stop them.

Now, the Democratic Congress has forced them to change. Yes, the changes may not be enough for now, but we are trying and the changes are significant. We are the ones who made change happen, not them. They did nothing. They helped the Credit Card Companies to gouge all of us.

We can be proud and the Republicans have nothing.

So, this weekend it will be all about Cheney, and torture, and etc.....

At least we can turn to our Repuk friends and say that soon you will be able to read and understand your agreements with those assholes, and they did nothing about it. We changed that for the good of the people in this country, they did nothing. .....So, they bring out Cheney, Palin, Linbaugh.

They sure don't have much..do they?

1. i'm not sure 'they' can bring out cheney- i think he's
part of the cancer that drives the neocon hearse.

I think 'they' come out, when they feel threatened. I think they're feeling threatened- and i'm glad of that.

We need to keep them "out".

3. Cheny is in with the rest of them, and I believe that they all figure
that he is better than their record. As bad as he is, he can respond in a way that heats things up, and gets people mad. Even if it is at him/911/ or Bush it is still better to be mad at them then the philosphy that allowed Credit Card Companies to gouge all of us forever.

An ever increasing interest rate is the result of Cheney/Bush/Republican team. And they don't give a shit, didn't give a shit, and would never give a shit about you.

Aruging about terror and preventing 911 sounds like there might be another side to the story. Of course there is none, but at least it sounds like it.

Defending the Banks, on a day that we have passed legislation that everyone knows is necessary, is impossible. Cheney/ and that crowd is a diversion away from what we have done today for all of us and that cannot be denied. They will do anything to get the discussion away from what we and our leaders have done now.

5. The media's acceptance of Cheney is the problem..
While Cheney attmpts to set the agenda, as a diversion, away from an accomplishment such as Credit Card Reform, it is clear that the media is more of a problem then Cheney. The media provides the platform for Cheney to sound as if he makes sense. Why give this thing anytime at all? The media is at much at fault as Cheney. But they are the same crowd. What a sad excuse for the 4th estate......

7. CORRECT..OJ .SIMPSON..AND FOX NEWS..
The O.J. Trial proved that you are right. Fox had gavel to gavel coverage and creemed the rest..
What a sad state of this nation..Still the media doesn't want everyone to really know what the credit card people have dont to us. They might start advertising on tv again.

Note that they have stopped their ads for awhile. Like certain airlines do after a major crash. But the credit cards will be back. Have faith.
