Baucus: "I don’t want to frighten people, particularly on the industry side...there are ways to skin
Edited on Fri May-22-09 12:30 AM by Faryn Balyncd

When Senate Finance Committee Chairman Max Baucus is not fleeing from, or mocking, or arresting, the doctors & nurses advocating Single Payer Medicare-for-All, Senator Baucus ("D"/MT) makes time to speak to his real constituents, when they need some reassurance that they need not fear any "version" of health care "reform" that comes out of his committee:

.......On the public plan, for example, Baucus said, “I do suspect that a version will be there. Now, by saying that, I don’t want to frighten people, particularly on the industry side.… All I’m saying is, there are ways to skin a cat...”

13. A progressive, non Blue Dog Dem should mount a primary.
Stranger things have happened. He's extremely vulnerable for his pandering to health insurers.

It's almost like he's talking out loud, wondering what is the bare minimum to let drop out of the coin purse for the rabble to scrabble after and be grateful.

9. Because the people that decide such things are just like him and have approved his actions.
We (as in "We The People") do not decide anything, we get to choose between the options given to us by those that do decide.

Who will be Speaker of the House, Hoyer or Pelosi?

What will your health-care options be, insurance companies or HMOs?

How much will "defense" spending increase, 3% or 5%?

What you want is irrelevant because you are irrelevant. Your life or death does not count, has never counted, and will not count until enough of you/us realize that you have to do for yourself.

17. The only way to get reform is to SCARE THE SH*T out of them Baucus!
You should be scaring the hell out of them. What can they do to you if they get too scared? Oh yah, withhold all that money they give you.
