Hidden in the whining, did Bush accidentally say something?
I'm watching a broadcast of the Bush blame conference, and I noticed that when he talked about the pork projects in the bills --- of which he's been curiously silent about until now --- he stated, "The only way the Democrats were able to pass their bill in the first place was to load the bill the bill with pork and other spending that had nothing to do with the war."

Now, I don't claim to be a logic expert, but based on Bush's own words, was he saying that the Republicans will vote for anything if the price is right? It had nothing to do with the war, and if the Democrats had to load the bill with pork, then wasn't it the Republican congressmen, the one's who are first to wrap themselves around a flag and bang the drums of war even louder, that sold George's precious war out for their own benefit?

2. If that is the message, this could be the first time he has spoken the truth
In 6 years, they may be the first honest words from his mouth.

4. I think he was TRYING to say
that even a majority of Democrats would have voted against the bill if the pork wasn't there.

'Course, your assessment is much more to the point, but he will never admit to that.

5. Frank;ly Bush sounds mad to me. In the crazy way.
He does not ever stick to anything that mean s anything. We have had 6 years of pork to get bills to him and now he said that silly statement.

7. The re-broadcast is droning on in the other room -

Hopefully Jon Stewart will sling a little fun around.

I didn't hear the part about pork - I came in the room long enough to hear him whine "I am seriously worried about the reputations of the eight US Attorneys who lost their jobs."

Had to leave before i up-chucked.
