I don't feel ones under 4.0, so I don't post about those.

I am pretty well prepared. I have a garage full of food, water and camping equipment. the only thing I am really missing is a generator. May be getting one sooner than I thought

19. I was on the 19th floor of an office building
at Crescent Heights and Wilshire for the Northridge quake. I left that job shortly thereafter. I really didn't like the feeling of the building swaying, but the creeking was terrifying

25. Well, after Sunday evening, I hit the floor under the desk with...
...the Scottie. She came running from her usual perch on my LR couch.

I do not like this at all. I have been around SoCal for a very long time and I have never seen it like this before.

33. I know the feeling. I was on the 4th floor of an IBM Santa Teresa Lab tower when Loma Prieta hit.
Less than ten miles from the epicenter, on the other side of the hills from the coast and Aptos, it was one helluva ride.

43. Sure did...
I grew up in the South Bay... always a rocking place:)

I had to put a lot of stuff back in place on Sunday. Dresser drawers open, stuff fallen over inside cupboards and closets, perfume bottles danced off the shelf... CD stacks toppled. But nothing broke, thank Goddess!

45. Today, I found some DVDs in he drawers in the guest bedroom....
...when I went in there to put some laundry away. I guess they fell off the top of the dresser and into the drawers that had jiggled opened we got hit on Sunday. I just went around Sunday and put things away and closed drawers, medicine chests, etc. Never noticed the DVDs had fallen off the top of the dresser and into the dresser drawers that opened.

Really weird to see those sitting in that drawer when I opened it today!

...waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much activity.

I have been around SoCal since the mid-60s and I have never seem this many "little" ones.

It's making me very antsy and usually this stuff does not bother me.

...South Bay than to the Valley. It was a goodly shake here.

but the only damage I had was a broken salt shaker. It was sureal to go just a few miles and see the freeways down.

32. I was at my mom's in OC at the time.
I was meant to spend the MLK break at my dad's in Los Angeles, but he got called out for a last minute business trip. I was 8 at the time and the rocking scared me all the way down in OC. No damage, but real intense. My dad's place was destroyed. The windows blew out, plates fell everywhere, and the chandler above my bed fell and broke the frame in half.

Nothing much but some hard hits in Riverside, but a good pal of mine and his wife lived in Woodland Hills. Their house was literally destroyed.
