Why America kicks ass
MANCHESTER – State Rep. Richard Komi, a Nigerian refugee who won a seat in the Legislature less than two years after acquiring U.S. citizenship, has announced he will run for mayor.

"I will be running as a fresh face," Komi said. "This is fresh breath that will be coming to Manchester politics."

***

Komi came to New Hampshire in 1999. He had fled southern Nigeria four years earlier, at a time when the government was cracking down on activists, such as himself, who campaigned against the foreign oil companies that polluted local waters and devastated the area's important fishing and farming industries.

Today, Komi works with disabled children at Easter Seals. He is married and has three children, ages 5, 3 and 18 months.

5. He's more focused on local issues
The lack of enforcement against landlords with substandard properties is a major problem in Manchester, and Rep. Komi has been working hard on that front. It's a critical matter for the residents of his district.

10. Do you actually believe that
"The citizens of this country are the greatest"?

11. I do. Here's why.

Prior to the Iraq war, there were polls on the public support for a Bush invasion.

Check out the polls here. http://electionfraudnews.com/MoneyParty/TheyKnew.htm Down about 90%.

Majorities of Democrats and Republicans surveyed opposed making war until it was certain that Iraq had WMD.

Then the big lies came, from Bush etc. implying nuclear weapons, etc. Even that got a bare majority, if that.

After the invasion when the fraud was exposed the public turned against the war.

When people have just a bit of the right information, they make the right decision. I don't blame them for falling
victim to the best propoganda program ever, the best lying machine.

Same with the economy. The public opposes bailouts. They got the first one defeated on their own. Then they
continued to oppose them. Now the fury over the looting of the Treasury is growing.

The citizens have been right on these two huge current issues.

Theyu've always been right on the ultimate issue, respect for and care for the environment.

Here's more detail. http://www.scoop.co.nz/stories/HL0803/S00402.htm

12. From your reply I gather
that you are comparing US citizens to their elected officials and corporate overlords, which makes sense.

But citizens of other nations would read your statement as an ignorant boast, echoing W. Bush's televised rallying cry before invading Iraq (and I'm paraphrasing from memory here): "We are the greatest nation on earth!"
You can imagine the gasp that went around the world at the time... In fact, I got several phone calls from Europe afterwards where people confessed they were shocked to hear this fool go that far without even a hint of irony.

13. We are greater than the 'leet and "rulers", that's for sure.
As far as greatest, I could easily say that Italians are the greatest too. I wasn't saying that we are superiod,
in fact, I thin the silly American "exceptionalism" as it's called is highly offensive and used to cover up
a multitude of sins.

The greatest knows no boundaries. But specifically, the ability to keep your head clear and come up for air
here, on a collective basis, is quite impressive. The people did that with the bailout, no contrary information,
but they knew it sucked. They did it with Iraq, despite huge propaganda leverage.

If citizens of other nations read anything that I say, I'm flattered. If they read this or anything else as
comparable to Bush, well, that's an error. They're still great;)
