O think this is a TERRIFIC IDEA! It's unlikely to be more than another month to 6 weeks, since oral arguments are to be June 1st.

I so much look forward to the day when Norm is GONE!

1. Dunno. Could be a long time. Coleman is reviled by all, but he has powerful "friends."
Everyone hates Norm Coleman, including those egging him on. The Repukes never give up. I can see this going until 2010, and that's too expensive for me.

2. There's no other penalty for Norm to keep going
As long as his overrich friends will bankroll his legal challenges, there's no sanction or other penalty for Norm to keep this "challenge" - no matter how spurious, no matter how ridiculous - on life support and deny the winner his rightful Senate seat. Minnesota should change its law to allow for provisional seating of the certified winner. If Franken was in the Senate right now, debating and voting, this stupid challenge would have gone away long ago because there'd be no point in continuing it. But as long as Minnesota law denies its own citizens representation while a sore loser carries a challenge beyond all reasonable bounds, it will only encourage other election losers to do the same thing.

Might as well raise some money for good candidates based on Coleman's obstructionist ways.

3. I'd do a buck a day until Franken gets seated, but not until Coleman concedes
that could be one of those hell freezes over sorts of events.
