How do you most benefit from reading and posting on DU

Just wondering, how do you most benefit from reading and posting on DU? I find it simple enough, this is my most trusted window for the news of the world and varied interpretations of it and this is where I come to see if my understanding holds water - or not.

How about you?

PS: this post was prompted by reading another posting on the recent fund drive. I contribute and I encourage you to as well, its worth it for the reason noted above (and below).
