2. Good luck with that. DUers will scream at Pelosi and Reid until their heads explode, but then
... vote their own worthless Representatives and Senator back into office.

5. Getting the money out of politics would help a lot.
The cost of getting elected and reelected is astronomical. So of COURSE all but those politicians with vast personal wealth are beholden to their contributors.
Period. If only we could mandate a meaningful amount of free air time for political discourse (ads!) in this country. That would, of course, mean going against Big Media, the same folks who tell us our news. Also going against Big Pharma, Big Insurance, Big Banking. Not likely to happen in a country that considers money to be "speech."
I know, I know. It'll never happen, but I can dream.

6. I've been voting against
my Repub Representative and Senator for years. This past election we finally got rid of Liddy Dole...now to get rid of Foxx and Burr....I'm dreaming I know, but maybe someday NW NC will wake up and get rid of them....To Dream, the Impossible Dream.....

15. Trying to turn East Tennessee Blue has been a challenge too...
... but we'll never give up! My rep, Zach Wamp, is going to run for Governor next term. I'll be out campaigning against him as hard as I can...

17. Judging by the length of time many (most) have been in office, "we
the people" don't want to change congress. Disregard the low approval ratings one can see from time to time. We'll forget and reelect 90% of the ones who seek to retain their positions.
