More on the Gallup Poll where majority describe themselves as "pro-life"...
Edited on Sun May-17-09 01:22 PM by kentuck
For the first time, more defined themselves as "pro-life" than "pro-choice". I think people have evolved in their thinking on this issue.

A lot of people have decided that they will not be labeled as "anti-life" by the right-wing of this country. They believe they can be "pro-life" and "pro-choice" and support the Constitution of the United States. They refuse to be painted into a corner by the so-called "pro-lifers". We are all "pro-life". We do not accept their labeling any longer.

That is the significance of the Gallup Poll. People are becoming more politically savvy.

1. Pro choice is Pro life!
I'm pro life and I support choice one hundred
percent with no conditions.

I'm of the mind that all women and children
should own their own bodies without limits,
and that anything other than that complete
freedom and power is anti-life.

3. I'm totally pro-life--I wanna keep on living as long as I can manage!!
I've always been pro-life, and most particularly, MY life.

I do differ with the angry, anti-choice people who call themselves "pro-life" as to when life commences.
That said, it ain't my business, the whole "pro-life" thing as defined by the religious zealots. It's the business of the woman who has to deal with the abortion question.

Her body, her choice. Not mine.

4. I am Pro-Life, BECAUSE I understand how Life is served best by Freedom.

"Choosing" abortion out of economic/social/psychological necessity is no more a Free Choice than "choosing" to be a mother, because you're buying a male "meal-ticket", or because the abortion that you honestly would prefer is unavailable, or because you are expected to have children whether you really want them or not, or __________ .
