I Think Obama Wants To Hold Off On Torture Pictures Because Of Pakistan
Pakistan is a powder keg with lit candles surrounding it.

And in the middle of the powder keg are a bunch of nukes.

I think Obama's tryuing to buy some time and not inflame the asshole Taliban in the immediate future as plans are put together to secure the nukes.

Remember, the fucked up situation in Pakistan can be directly related back to the incompetence of Obama's predecessor.

I'm willing to give him a couple of months on the pictures, depending upon what I see go on with Pakistan in that time.

1. I wish I had your faith.
I think the recent atrocity deluge from the Republicans has worn me down. I criticized my dream President today. I really am unable to understand why he won't release those photos, and why he is seemingly covering for Bush (though appearances can be very deceiving). I'm going to have to back off and go with what you're saying. Barack Obama seems to be a person who does the right thing, and I'm going to have to muster my lost faith and believe this is true.

2. It's only a guess
but I would think he would do something like this for a good reason.

At least I hope he would, any way.

5. A good reason
The reason is he wants a judge to tell him he has to release the photos,
that way he can say he didn't do it for political reasons, he was just following the law. Brilliant!!

These photos will come to light, trust me. It'll be the Pentagon Papers all over again and we know how that turned out...

3. I'm Going to Agree with You
This is a very tense situation at the moment. Sec Gates just fired the commander and that is the first time that's happened since Truman fired MacArthur during Korea. If this situation gets out of control, India will take action. Both Pakistan and India have nukes and then we have a whole new disaster.

6. I think they are more concerned with those predator aircraft flying around
their neighborhoods right now.

9. This is the only answer that makes sense to me
IF this is the case, then the Pakistan issue is probably a lot worse off than we thought...which is saying a lot considering the information the public has is pretty damn scary as is.

Again, IF this is the case, then I'm ok with postponing the release as long as the photos are released once the immediate threat is removed. This would take a huge leap of faith for me though and I don't think I'm there yet...too gun shy after the past 8 years I suppose.
