Graham Cites Debunked Report To Argue For Torture
By Zachary Roth - May 13, 2009, 12:24PM

It looks like Lindsey Graham just cited John Kiriakou's interview with ABC News, in which the former CIA interrogator claimed that the use of enhanced interrogation techniques broke Abu Zubaydah within minutes.

Did Graham miss the fact that ABC News's report has been authoritatively debunked -- and that ABC News has acknowledged as much?

Looks like he did -- or doesn't care.

1. and Soufan debunked him even before he finished the question
stating that Kiriakou has retracted his claim and that he wasn't even part of the interrogations...

I know, I know, these people are depraved assholes, but every now & then, it hits me like a slap in the face: People in our gov't are PRO-TORTURE! Like we live in a 3rd world, despotic country! Unfuckingbelievable!

8. I'm just flabbergasted & gobsmacked that ANYONE THINKS THIS IS OKAY!!!
How the hell can they allow themselves to be recorded in history as defending & promoting TORTURE???

Disgusting, shameful & criminal. I hope their parents, kids, neighbors & friends think they are dogshit.

Every now & again the enormity of it just really hits me again - today is one of those days.

You mentioned McCarthy....he still has his defenders today and he was fucking slime. Drinking himself into the grave was too easy a death for him.

6. If you folks want Lindsey Graham, you can have him!
We progressives in SC (all 5 of us) would just have to get along without him...somehow. Special deal: If you take our Lindsey Graham in the next ten minutes, we'll throw in a Jim Diment. All you have to pay is shipping and handling.

7. Freaking Republicon Homelanders....
No respect for America, morality, or the truth.

FREE CLUE: Jesus Christ would not torture anyone, since he was so brutally tortured himself by the Republicon Homelanders of his era...

9. One brave South Carolinian brave enough to publicly defend the Union
once said South Carolina was too small to be a country and too big to be an insane asylum.

Apparently, he was wrong. South Carolina is just one big insane asylum.

11. Numerous waterboarding
Wasn't Abu Zubaydah waterboarded many, times? If the "enhanced techniques" broke him within minutes why did they have to waterboard him so many times?
