Everybody needs to quit picking on Pelosi. I mean, she said she
wasn't briefed. We couldn't go and impeach bush without evidence and we sure shouldn't prosecute bush administration officials instead of doing the important work the people expect like "healthcare reform" with the help of our insurers, HMO's, and others who have come to help out. Besides even if she was briefed on a few things, she coudn't do anything about it because it was all "classified". I mean just because many of us knew about it and the world press reported on much of it doesn't mean she knew anything about it at all and I'm sure if she ever finds out she will be outraged. We can't suck the air out of congress on such politicised matters as this. It would be political retribution.

3. Anyone who thinks Bush LIED, LIED, LIED, but told Pelosi the truth is a frikkin' idiot!
It is that simple, unless they are a troll!

6. But I am quite sure
that if the House of Representatives had impeached both Bush and cheney, but they had been acquitted during trials in the Senate, they would have both felt properly admonished and humbled, right?

Neither of them would have seen an acquittal as justification for all they had done, would they? They would not have agreed that the Senate had just told them to keep going forward, and to even enhance their actions, right?

________________________________________________________________

The Speaker was absolutely right in keeping impeachment off the table unless something could be proved to even the Republicans in the Senate. I truly believe she did what she did to keep them from thinking they ha an even more unobstructed green light than they already saw.

7. Pelosi took impeachment off the table.
That process would have exposed those Bush lies. Instead, she became complicit in those lies by preventing investigations. And there was more than enough evidence at the time to justify an active investigation of Bush, Cheney, and the rest of them.

Now, we're beginning to hear the horrid details of some of their dirty deeds.

For whatever reason, Pelosi allowed those deeds to remain in the dark for years. I don't believe she knew that people were being tortured, but I do believe she knew there were illegal things going on, and that Bush was abusing his authority. And it was her responsibility to provide checks and balances and hold Bush accountable.

She did none of those things, so whatever suspicions are now upon her are of her own making.

5. Courage seems to be in short supply on Capitol Hill.
We the people need a lobby that can feed their political coffers so they can acquire it.

8. When she took impeachment off the table, she became part of Bush & Cheney's treason.

10. Not to mention support for illegal, unprovoked war...
...by most members of Congress, which predated their feigned surprise at having been "misled."

9. doesn't anyone think Pelosi is a target of the repigs???
doesn't anyone think this is a rallying cry of the desperate repigs to go after Pelosi, wasn't Dennis Hastert House Majority Leader then? Repigs are up to their eyeballs in this and very well be some Dems they are not all squeaky clean. Repigs are in desperate mode right now, and they will do anything. For example everywhere you turn Cheney surfaces trying to justify torture.

11. This is thr best "push-back" they can come up with because THEY are guilty, guilty, guilty
and this is all they can muster to try to prevent release of more facts.

This not only says "GUILTY" but it is a hollow treat intended to spin the perceptions of their own base into "But, everyoe did it" mode.
