Am I the only one who finds the Huffington Post website user unfriendly?
It takes too long to load, and it's setup is still very 90's, and amateurish.

2. I think it's OK. But I'm annoyed they've resorted to ridiculous tabloid headlines lately.

4. too long to load, try rawstory. you can watch all the cookies load before the page
plus they tried a "blogger styled page" for less than a week before outrage had them return it to normal.

It's all about loading the cookies and ads. The pages dont pay for themselves

7. I don't like it and I don't like Kos either for the same reason
Font is way too small and hard to read.

Du is the best, IMO.

8. I think Arianna has found the winning combination...
to get the most readers. She has some gossip, some Hollywood, many good progressive writers, and great interviews. She has a balance that appeals to a great many people.

However, with that said, I think if DU were to adapt the same formula, we would lose the ability to communicate. It would be too large. It would simply be a lot of mumbo-jumbo. There would be no focus.

DU, with its unique monitoring by the Mods, has become a source that anyone, in Washington or outside, can read and grasp the political reality of the day.

10. I was about to make a similar post.
DU spoils us. With that said, HP is a pain and sometimes loads like I'm back on dial-up.

11. I'ts godawful
Scripts galore.

Here's what I want from a website, aside from easy navigation:

I want the ability to press the down arrow on my keyboard and see the page scroll smoothly. When I enable all the scripts on HuffPo, smooth scrolling is impossible. Other sites have this problem but 3/4 of the images don't disappear when I turn off the scripts on those sites like they do on HuffPo.

15. Yes. It is slow to load, then if you click on a story, it takes forever to get back.
Worse than the NYT site.

While I recognize it is not an internet bulletin board, I do wish there was a way to check for responses to your posts, when you make a post to a story. As far as I can tell, there is no way to do that.

19. I find it hard to copy 4 paragraphs to the DU from the Huffington Post.
So I don't link to there anymore. In fact I don't often read it though I should. It is an informative place.
