ABOUT STAMP OUT HUNGER
On Saturday May 9th, letter carriers in more than 10,000 communities will collect food items and deliver them to local food banks to help some of the millions of Americans, including an estimated 13 million children, who face hunger every day.

Since 1993, families have donated more than a half-billion pounds of food to Stamp Out Hunger. You can help make this year our most successful ever.

Simply place bags filled with nonperishable food items like canned meats and fish, canned soup, juice, pasta, vegetables, cereal and rice next to your mailbox on Saturday, May 9th. *

Your letter carrier will pick up the bags and deliver them to your local food bank.

* Please do not include out-of-date items or those in glass containers.

last year my mailman acted like he didn't want to take my donation. I literally had to run after the guy to get him to come back and take it. :-(

9. I live in an apt complex

instead of leaving a bag of food I send a check to my local food bank :D

very often has bins for food bank stuff set up, which makes it very easy :D

We shouldn't have to do this. WE SHOULDN'T HAVE TO FUCKING DO THIS!

We can give failed bankers billions of dollars to spend on their yachts, their whores, and their homes in the Hamptons. But we have to give canned good to our mail carriers to keep people from starving.
