How far do you live from your parents if you are an adult or if you are a parent how far, on average, do your children live from you?

Basic question - how far apart do people live from their parents or the other way around.

after a divorce last year. One son is graduating from the University of Tulsa on Saturday, the other lives in Overland Park, KS.

My mom is 7 miles away and my three kids are 480 miles, 1500 miles, and 5400 miles away. My oldest granddaughter and her S.O. rent part of my duplex from me, at about 150 feet away.

The older one lives 40 miles away and the younger one lives 85 miles away. I need to make two selections.

13. About 13 miles, according to Mapquest.

I live near Van Voorhis Road in Morgantown, and my Mom lives out near Hildebrand Lock & Dam--you can literally see the dam itself from her driveway. If I were to count miles as the crow flies, it's probably more like 7 or 8, though.

15. Mom and Dad live three miles from me.

They moved back from Florida to be closer to the family.

Son #1 lives seven miles away, with SO. Both kids work and go to school, and needed to be closer to both places.

Son #2 and Daughter live with me, as they are both working and going to school, and need a place to live. I am glad they live here at home with me.
