Get race, greater story of determination and effort. Congrats to all you New Mexico DU's. I'm sure those of you from that great state are really proud about now.

Peace,

in his own, or a rented helicopter...his prance was sorta a limp..and he was not even pretentious!

4. 2nd & 3rd?
The station carrying the Derby switched to the Cowboy Bubble collapse and is still there. Results are not yet posted on the usual racetrack links. I may have won place and show.

10. I'm in ABQ!
I work in Socorro, and thank God I don't have to drive there anymore! ;-) Anyway, there's not a lot of money here, as you know, and not a lot of people, either, but there are horses, as dowdy as some may seem. I love watching people putting their horses through the paces on some of the ranches and farms--some that are hundreds of years old.

It's early spring here right now. The hummingbirds are back, and we're getting some badly needed light rain. I'm one of the only people in my neighborhood who actually gets to take advantage of ditch irrigation in my back yard! The first flooding this season happened a couple of days ago. :hi: C'mon back!

13. That was a fabulous race
Watching him come up the rail was a thing of beauty. Then I remembered he had 50-1 odds. I so loved his backstory. Congratulations to everyone who had a part in this one.

14. He was bred in Kentucky but qualified for the Derby at
the Sunland track in Cruces? That's what I'm reading. I'm sure there will be much media recognition here tomorrow. I've also read that he cost $9,500, around what someone would pay for a decent used car! This is very sweet.
