The GOP Stand Up Comedy Tour
Washington, DC) -- Arizona Senator John McCain is among a group of elected Republicans launching an effort to "rebrand" the Grand Old Party. McCain is joined by former governors Jeb Bush and Mitt Romney, as well as current governors Haley Barbour and Bobby Jindal in the effort. Also in the group, are Senators Mitch McConnell, Jon Kyl, Lamar Alexander, congressmen John Boehner, Mike Pence and Eric Cantor. They're calling their group the "National Council for New America." The group plans to travel around the nation, holding town hall meetings on issues from healthcare and energy, to the economy and national security. According to a document obtained by CNN, the group wants to counter a perception that it is the "party of no." The document also states the group wants to bring new faces and new ideas to the GOP.

1. Will this be like the 'New Coke' thing from the '80's? 'Cause that didn't go so well.
I can see them going from being, 'The Party of No' to the party of, 'Yeah, baby, yeah. Give it to me. That's right. Yesssss!' They certainly have the, um, right type of perv...folks to pull that one off. ::violent shudder::

3. They gunna ... like .... charge admission ..... and have stools on the stage ... and all wear ......
.... cool suits with turtle necks and no ties? Cordless mics? How about water glasses on the stools and they just kinda stand there lookin' all cool an' shit? Maybe get that Mikey Steele kewl dude who rolls with the backwards ball cap.

You know ..... this could work. They could sell out certain venues. Elks Lodges. Knights of Columbus halls. Smaller bars.

With McCain in the group they could call themselves, like, Leave It To Geezer. The could break up into smaller sets for the smaller venues - like bus stop shelters an' shit - with just two of them. Like, say Jindahl and McCain could be, like, Bobby and The Geez.

Yeah ..... this could work ......

:snort:

Fukkin dumbshits.
