David Shuster gets into shouting match with homophobic asshole from 'hetero marriage only' group
The guy was the spokesbully for the group that has that Ms California in their anti gay marriage ads.

The guy came on thinking he would be able to get by like every other right wing asshole - talking non stop and overtalking the host and the opponents. It was just him and Shuster in the frame and Shuster was not about to let the guy get away with lying.

Shuster's voice went up as the bully's voice went up.

The essential point - that 'accommodation' to protect religious groups from being sued if they choose to ban all but hetero marriages in their organizations would allow religious freedom and not "impose" gay marriage on anyone - was purposefully and intentionally overlooked by the bully. Shuster would not allow him to get away with that.

Good going, David!

4. Good one Shuster
I've liked him since day one. To me he seems to always tell it like it is. We need more like him on our supposedly news channels.

5. Finally someone who won't let the haters & bullies get away with reading their talking points
with a legitimate challenge to their BS.

Back before Keith and Rachel and now Shuster, the cable tv news outlets just let these assholes go on and on without a peep of challenge on their spew.

6. It's a shame that Shuster got bumped by the Ed Show.
Shuster is superior in all ways not least in that he actually knows how to manage a right/left discussion. Not to mention a show like Shuster's belongs in the 6 p.m. slot as it is more of a "news" show than Ed's ever was.

MSNBC should have put Ed's "echo chamber" after Keith and Rachel's echo chambers.

8. Maybe Shuster was bumped to earlier in the day
because that's where the more right wing shows are on msnbc. It's possible they are starting to bring truth to the earlier shows with the move which is sure welcome.

10. How does "echo chamber" describe Maddow's
and Olbermann's shows? That they legitimize incorrect information by repeating it? That they repeat what they hear or read, correct or incorrect, in other news outlets? That they are encouraging a kind of cultural tribalism by repeating news that appeals to liberals? How do their shows differ from other news shows?

Using cliches like "echo chamber" doesn't appear to me to be adding to the discussion.
