Here is what VP Biden really meant to say....
I get the feeling we might see those words come out of the White House many times over the next 8 years.

1. Much ado about nothing
He specified "what Im telling my own family is.." in the beginning of his Today Show comment this morning.

He wasnt telling the rest of us what we should be doing.

5. Unfortunately he was acting as the Vice President at the time.
It was an idiotic comment they should have just admitted to the gaffe and let it go. Instead of trying to spin it.

13. And that part is being consistently overlooked.
Anything for a tempest-in-a-teapot du jour.

4. why do you feel compelled to speak for Biden?
He is doing just fine without your help. He meant exactly what he said.

6. He's not doing just fine, it was a huge mistake. That's why the White House spent all day...
trying to cover his ass.

10. if air travel isn't dangerous during flu outbreak
Edited on Thu Apr-30-09 11:49 PM by havocmom
why did a flight attendants union ask for FAA to force airlines to develop and implement passenger-screening standards? The people who deal with the public up close and personal are probably pretty experienced with their own chances of catching bugs from travelers.

Many of us have yet to take a flight and NOT get sick afterward. Many of us who deal with the public know the public too often does not stay home when ill.

edited for typos

11. So the President is lying to us, as is the rest of the government?
Biden wasn't talking about sick people refraining from traveling.
