David Sirota Terrific on Radio
Edited on Mon Apr-27-09 10:34 AM by otohara
he's been filling in for the very ill Jay Marvin for some time now and has gotten better and better. He's on in the AM - 6-10 MST for anyone interested in 3 hours of excellent talk.

1. His name is David Sirota, not Sorota
and yes, I too love listening to David talk as well as read his books.

3. I really like Sirota. We could have used a dozen of him
Edited on Mon Apr-27-09 10:40 AM by chill_wind
every single night before the 04 elections-- he would have made mincemeat out of all that 24/7 RW thinktank/Bush/Cheney/Rove bull*$!@.

The liberal American Prospect said Sirota is “the kind of pundit you’d like to have on your side in a knife fight and wouldn’t want to cross in a dark alley.”

Syndicated columnist Molly Ivins said, “Sirota is a new-generation populist who instinctively understands that the only real questions are ‘Who’s getting screwed?’ and ‘Who’s doing the screwing?’”

Now that Dems are in power, we cannot have too many guys like him getting a louder and more permanent voice.

4. I'm Hoping For a Permanent Radio Gig For Him
I'm do hope Jay Marvin gets well and returns.

It would be awesome however, if they (KKZN) would get rid of this guy in the afternoon drive-time slot who isn't really local (it's so deceptive, he talks like he lives here, but in reality is doing his show in San Diego) He's also very uniformed. He covers his ignorance up by repeating his name, the phone number and the name of his show. Nice guy, but Sirota is nice, and super-duper smart.

Besides, I don't think David enjoys getting up so early for the AM show. An afternoon gig would fit nicely into his schedule.
