Ex-US Atty chief - Goodling to plead the fifth
Former Director of Office of US Attorneys to take Fifth Amendment John Byrne
Published: Saturday March 31, 2007

The former Director of the Office of US Attorneys Monica Goodling sent a letter late Friday to Chairman John Conyers (D-MI) through her attorney stating that she intends to invoke her Fifth Amendment rights if called to testify in the ongoing investigation into the firing of numerous US Attorneys by the Justice Department, RAW STORY has learned.

Goodling previously said she would not testify before a US Senate Committee.

1. i was wondering about this
if she is called to testify she has to show up or she faces contempt charges. if she wants to plead the 5th she has to show up. just because she said she`s was going to plead the 5th does`t mean they won`t call her.so i hope they call her and ask her many questions so she has to plead the 5th to every question just like the mob guys did during those congressional hearings....

2. Shows how much law she learned at Pat Robertsons law school.
She can invoke the 5th to keep from incriminating herself. She still has to testify, or be held in contempt.
