I thought these colors never ran?
You know the old American saying. Imagine if everytime our founders didnt get their way they pitched a fit and provided nothing helpful and only wanted to run away from the situation. We would be British still. If a state wants to secede from the Union then they are running away from what makes this country unique, we are a mixture of differing views that is represented through majority election. If you are in the minority it doesnt mean that your voice is muted but it means that the majority feels differently from you. Thats OK its what happens in "civilized" societies. Imagine if everytime a team lost the Super Bowl they wanted to drop out of the NFL and start their own league, and constantly badmouthed and opposed the NFL, because they didnt win. Sounds like something you did when you were 6; "I didnt get my way Im mad, Im leaving." How is it that these same people who derided those of us on the left who uttered muted criticism of Bush, and his appointment to office and his invasion of two countries and the horrible shit storm he created with our economy, yet now they incite revolution and a call to arms in forming malitias against Obama for proposing a 3% tax increase on the richest 5% of people and implementing plans to rebuild our crumbling infrastructure? How fucking UnAmerican. This should not be the response from the right wing. This should give them a charge to update their party, pull their heads out of their asses and decide what their party is really about. Because this hate thing is flashy and gets alot of media attention, but it is politics, it isnt helpful, it isnt mature, it isnt safe, it isnt right and it is not American.

3. What happened to "God Bless the USA?" I guess you can't sing that
song in Texas anymore.

Yeah, one problem is that by landlocking regions and causing trade complications, you could promote an acceleration of poverty. Another is that you cannot control the development of civil rights (Texas could enslave anyone who is slightly pigmented).

But you know, I'm not fundamentally opposed to letting regions have sovereignty and autonomy, as long as the San Antonio Taliban doesn't seize control. The whole big country and loyalty deal is just bullshit anyway. I was born on land controlled by a regime I'm really no part of. Its a stroke of fate really.

For some reason the US, without a war to rally by, has majors problems promoting loyalty and pride in their heterogeneous population. Why do we keep pretending?
