 This is what happens when you O.D. on Koolaid.

THe simplicity and brilliance and patriotism and steady hand of Reaganism has been rejected by the majority of the GOP. Unf***ing believable.

"those who do not study history are doomed to repeat it"
So, once again, we've elected Jimmy Carter, only updated and more dangerous. Unfortunately, I don't see Reagan waiting in the wings...

The thing about Reagan is that the deeper you dig, the more you come to love him. He isn’t an image, he was the real thing, and when someone scrapes for details they don’t find concealed negative insights and dark historical truths, instead they become awed.

Reagan Bump.
Compare those quotes to some of the drivel spouted by the current RINO party liberals and you can see why the Grand Obsolete Party is in it's death throes..

President Reagan wasn’t waiting in the wings in 1977. He and his supports had to work very hard win in 1980, nothing was ever predestined. God helps those that help themselves, so let’s get to work, it’s time to prepare American for another quarter century of prosperity!!!

... because the Bushs despised Ronnie as much as the loony liberal left does even today.

3. Well... They Have His Policies Again
Obama's actual actions and stated goals are are to pretty much end up where we were under Reagan. One difference, though, is that the rich will still pay far lower taxes under Obama's plan than under Reagan - and I suspect (but don't know for sure) that middle-class Americans will be paying more than under Reagan.

The Freepers are simply fooled by Obama's calling himself a Democrat. A lot of Democrats are also still fooled by this.

5. You should have mentioned that the title of the thread is "I Sure Miss Ronnie"!
Somehow, I have gotten myself totally hooked on right-wing stupidity. FR, Beck, Bachmann, I just can't get enough! I think it's a form of that "slow down to look at the car wreck" thing. I find it to be absolutely mind-boggling that there are so many millions of American citizens who seem normal, who can tie their own shoes and buy their own food and everything, and yet fall for every last bit of right-wing idiocy, no matter how far it is from truth or sense. The Birthers, the Amero, Bachmann's re-ed camps, Beck's Civil War - they swallow all of it right down. Is that good for you?

I guess it's the fact that reality itself just doesn't matter to these folks that has me so fascinated. What is the evolutionary advantage in constructing a false universe in your mind and then living there instead of on Earth? I really, really don't get it. And so I waste untold hours seeking out the latest crap to spew from Bachmann's pie-hole.

Somebody help me!

7. Understandable.
Reagan was a likeable and sincere fellow, very opinionated, but true to himself. In contrast, I have no positive memorys of Daddy or W. Bush. Ronnie was a character, the Bush's had no character.

14. These people are clueless about their leaders.
Reagan was Mike Deaver's sock puppet. Reagan acted as President...Mike gave him his script and showed him his marks and Ron would perform. If they think Reagan was such a great President, they should cannonize George W. Bush. After all, he simply did Reagan's policies on a much grander scale.
