Jim Quinn (RW radio host in Pittsburgh) created Richard Andrew Paplawski
Edited on Mon Apr-06-09 01:49 PM by scheming daemons
...and elsewhere in this country, other Michael Savage wannabees are creating others just like him... as we speak.

He killed three cops because he believed Obama was going to take his guns away.

This is something that Jim Quinn talks about all the time in Pittsburgh. This 22-year-old misguided kid is a nutcase loser. But RW hate radio is pushing these losers over the edge to make them actually act on their paranoia.

There will be more cases like this over the next 3 or 4 years. Brace for it.

Glenn Beck, Michael Savage, Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, and all the local wannabees are creating these monsters.

And it is only a matter of time before they create another Timothy McVeigh - just like they did 15 years ago.

1. Yes he did it and I hope our local papers and talk show hosts
acknowledge it too. To think I used to listen to him (Quinn) when he was strictly spinning records.

My brother has 23 years on a suburban force....this episode has made me physically ill.

17. At least we got Rush Limbaugh to leave town.
He was known as Jeff Christy and a local regular DJ back when I was a kid.

10. and the local right wing rag stirred him up too
The Pittsburgh Tribune Review, the conservative paper, has been stirring up shit the past couple of weeks about gun control legistlation etc and how Obama is gonna take our guns. Now this nut believes the bullshit, and kills three cops, and the Tribune Review is playing the drums of tragedy to the brave cops.

Of course they don't give a shit that it was their propoganda in the first place that riled up the kook to kill the cops in the first place.

11. Nope.
They BOTH responded in the same way when being approached by the police. Neither of them went out looking for people to kill in order to further an agenda.
McVeigh pursued an agenda, these nuts responded to a situation.

14. That is bullshit. One killed the police because he didn't
want to go to jail again, the other killed the police after daily spoon feedings of anti government paranoia. The Pittsburgh shooter's mother called the police to get him out of the house, his biggest danger was finding a place to sleep, he certainly was acting on his Nazi, right wing agenda There is no comparison.

20. Really?
At this very moment, you can prove his anti-govt views are what led to this? That being jobless and the threat of being arrested for domestic violence had NOTHING to do with it at all? That all the factors in his life didn't take him over the edge and he decided to shoot it out with the police instead of going on with his life, just as the scumbag in Oakland?

Sure, its possible it was an act against the govt even though it doesn't really fit the profile. But shouldn't we wait for information before jumping to conclusions based solely on our opinions?

22. "shoot it out with the police instead of going on with his life"

Those who commit suicide by cop don't wear bullet proof vests while they're shooting. He imagined himself a warrior for the cause.

23. If he imagined himself as a warrior for the cause as you say
then he planned it all out and will receive an even harsher ruling, maybe even death. So, please provide the link that shows he did as such. As I said, it is possible and I will gladly agree that you were right in assuming this was all because little right-wing voices told him to.

28. Then you should have no problem proving what sufro cannot
Show the facts where he was pushing an agenda and not responding to the situation.
If you cannot, then we should wait for information instead of jumping to conclusions based on hateful opinions.

18. Add Mike Pintek and the Honzman of KDKA radio
Plus Dmitri Vassilaros(sp). I know Pintek has had a couple of Obama is going to take your guns shows, plus he mentions it frequently. Also had birther Borg on the night before the inauguration, and had another birther on another night when Berg didn't email him back.

21. Pgh radio = loon network
Pgh radio is awful. It is almost all right wing, all the time. Quinn is an absolute asshole with a bubbleheaded sidekick who says she "was" a dem. I can see where he tries to influence the gun nuts. He brings it up everyday. The guns are next, folk, I'm tellin ya". She is pathetic in every way to say the least. Then we get to the afternoon's with Hansberger. He is absolutely insane. The only radio show that I have ever called into. Really easy to rattle his brains. Then there's 3 hours of Hannity, then Savage. And to think, it is a democratic city???Go figure.

26. Tex. State Sen. Dan Patrick's KSEV hosts think pointing guns at "Hippies & Communists" is .........
Edited on Tue Apr-07-09 11:07 AM by Faryn Balyncd

......funny.

This morning on "The Voice of Texas" KSEV 700 AM, hosts Pat Gray (who bills himself as Glen Beck's "best friend") and Ed Hendee (praised here by Kay Bailey Hutchison) thought it quite funny that a so-called "conservative" student group at Lone Star College-Tomball had printed up fliers with

"Top Ten Gun Safety Tips" that included "Always keep your gun pointed in a safe direction, such as at a Hippy or Communist."

http://www.abc40.com/Global/story.asp?S=10140989&nav=menu511_3

(KSEV is owned by Texas Republican State Senator (and fellow radio host) Dan Patrick, whose district includes Tomball.)

Maybe Matthew 7:15-20 would be a good text for "Bible teacher" Ed Hendee's next lesson.

"Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?......Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them."

29. We need a letter to the editor campaign asking about the influence of right
wing propaganda on the local airwaves. Link the anger and paranoia inspired by Rush, Savage, Beck. If that is all the listener hears, that becomes their reality. Ask the reader about the number of assassinations were from the left as opposed to those from the right. Hinkley was a right winger, so was Chapman. Chapman was inspired by the children of God. Charlie Manson was a right winger that wanted to start a race war. Timothy McVeigh is a good example.
