Poll question: Most important news story of the week (ending April 3, 2009)
Most important news story of the week ending April 3, 2009

A: UN holds tribunal against former Khmer Rouge officials;

B: 2nd Latin American-Arab Summit held in Qatar, Sudan's Bashir defies an ICC arrest warrant to attend

C: Michelle Obama travels to London (and so does Barack). The next stop will be the NATO birthday party in France and Germany

D: Red River flooding subsides in U.S., heads north to Canada; clean-up in North Dakota and Minnesota begins ... as best as possible considering the blizzards and ...

E: ... considering they still only have one Senator as Al Franken has yet to be seated. In related the GOP are assholes news: they're blocking Dawn Johnson from OLC appointment. In more election news: special election to fill Clinton's replacement's vacated seat (NY20) still too close to call; the count is separated by 25 votes.

F: Obama will ask Congress to double international food aid with immediate assistance to vulnerable populations in Africa and Latin America

G: Mount Redoubt's eruptions threaten lots and lots of oil; Alaska's governor can't schedule appearances at fundraisers. It is not known if she has penciled-in meetings regarding the volcano or the oil. Meanwhile, Obama's DoJ proves it can do the job right (even though their predecessors could not). they find they have to throw out the "conviction" against Ted "The Tube" Stevens because Dumbass' DoJ was too busy praying to do their jobs correctly (or something)

H: Blagojevich is indicted on 16 charges

I: One of the last-minute "incidents" that are a part of the Friday document dump (please see which in my reply)

J: Other (please see my pick for most important new story in reply)

4. I think the poll should mention what Obama was actually doing in London...
it wasn't just a social visit.
