I HATE FedEx.... Does Pickerington OHIO look like Roanoke VA :grr:
I ordered a $219 Flash Card (12Gig) and have been tracking it. Today it was Delivered and Signed for by somebody in Pickerington Ohio, only problem is it was addressed to me in Roanoke, Va.

This is the second time the local FedEx office has FU. The first a package sat on a truck for seven days before it was delivered. The local FedEx office for Roanoke is in Salem Va.

:grr:

1. I tracked a package once coming from S. California to Denver...
it TWICE went cross country from NYC back to the West Coast, to somewhere in New Jersy, and then finally back to Denver, where it sat for nearly two weeks at the central receiving station after one of our marathon snow storms... Nearly three weeks later, it was finally unpacked off the trailer and sent out to me...:eyes:

7. You think that's bad ... (rightie-supporting) First Energy in Ohio blamed
a blizzard one time for their horrendous response time ... trouble was, I don't remember that July blizzard ... you'd think I'd remember something like that ... I mean, hey ... in Cleveland Ohio, sometimes Spring doesn't arrive until September, but I would probably remember a traffic-snarling blizzard ... I'da had to get my winter jacket out ...

10. Maybe whomever you ordered from
sent you the wrong tracking number?

Also, FedEx Ground is a complete f-up. They're contract workers. We use FedEx Express all the time at work, with no problem, but heaven forbid we have something for Ground...they're horrible.

Plus you have to wonder about the "barcode label unreadable and replaced" exception at that early point in the shipping process. That's just not good, and I'd have to blame that on the merchant who shipped the package (but perhaps FedEx made an error when re-printing the label? I believe the 2D barcode on FedEx labels does contain the address information.)

And in defense of FedEx Ground, they seem to do alright in New England... We ship a lot of local stuff that is generally 1 day service via Ground, and sometimes we get people who call us up the next day at 3:30 and wonder why stuff hasn't been delivered. I tell them it's on the truck to be delivered (and then it's delivered 15 minutes later...) I've been berated by a couple of different moronic UPS account reps for no good reason, so that kind of tips the scale in favor to FedEx from my point of view. FedEx does PLENTY of things to keep me annoyed, but I have never had FedEx employees call me up and piss me off.

13. Sometimes when I am tracking a UPS number...it shows delivered to another city
but then I get the package the same day, or very soon thereafter.

They don't clear the old information in the system and they reissue the tracking numbers. Makes me wonder if there is a method to their madness to cover their butts in the event of a problem.

Sorry you had that happen, it sucks to wait for something and have it go to the wrong address! :grr:
