McCain On Backing Palin In 2012: Let's See Who Else Runs
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/03/29/mccain-on-backing-palin-i_n_180457.html

WASHINGTON — Sen. John McCain isn't committing to supporting his vice presidential pick, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, if she runs for president in 2012.

McCain _ the GOP's presidential nominee last year _ says he wants to see who the other candidates are and what the situation might be.

The Arizona senator elevated Palin to the national stage with his surprise pick. He says he has great affection for Palin and her family. But he also cites three other governors _ Utah's John Huntsman, Louisiana's Bobby Jindal and Minnesota's Tim Pawlenty as potential candidates.

(snip)

McCain appeared on NBC's "Meet the Press."

3. Oh dear, what does that say when your former running mate doesn't
automatically hop on the band wagon?

Bitterness on both sides of this broken love match I see.

7. four years is a long time.
even though mccain might have felt she was right for the job in 2008(he didn't)- it doesn't mean that she'd be the right person for 2012. things change. it's WAY too early for any party to consider candidates for 2012.

9. Republicans may be stupid but they are not stupid enough
to support Palin for president in 2012. I don't even think it will be Jindal. It will be someone who is competitive with Obama.
