Edited on Sat Mar-21-09 10:32 PM by JI7
from Taibbi's article Liddy is part of many AIG people from Goldman Sachs . Goldman people need to prop up AIG in order to get paid themselves.

Liddy talks like AIG is a vicim of the downnturn in the economy rather than seeing that it was AIG and other megacorporations that caused this problem.

i don't believe this crap about how he is doing this without pay and for the good of the country.

1. He is not making any salary...
I guess you could put someone else in there to do the same thing? I watched him during the hearings and he wasn't chatting up AIG at all.

2. Trust me, there will be a payoff in the future...
These guys never work for free. There will be some form of "deferred compensation." By the time he collects we will all have forgotten about it.

3. Here's the catch
He can be making millions here through the back door via GS holdings here.

I highly doubt there's no material gain in this for him.
