Whitehead, Indiana (The Weekly Vice) -- Michelle Owen, a 24-year-old Indiana woman attempting to turn ex-boyfriend in for downloading child porn, is arrested herself for bestiality.

According to police, Owen asked investigators to search her computer for child pornography, claiming that she believed her ex-boyfriend downloaded child pornography to it.

During the search, police came across two video files that allegedly showed Owen engaged in a sexual act with a dog.

Owen was reportedly incarcerated on a public intoxication charge when she signed a release volunteering her computer for testing. She had hoped investigators would locate child pornography files downloaded to her computer.

She told police that the video clips were recorded when she was intoxicated and then attempted to delete them the next day when she was sober. Obviously the delete button didn't work.

Owen has now been charged with two felony counts of bestiality.

Of course, that is an awesome headline, but it's possible that the ex-boyfriend was some sort of sexual deviant who was into kiddie porn and forced her to perform bestiality on camera for him as well.

That's naturally just conjecture, but if she was in fact so drunk that she'd fuck a dog, how did she operate and aim the camera? Not enough info in the article there, though. The article didn't bother to say whether or not they actually found kiddie porn on the PC, which is rather important to the whole story.

Great headline, though. (I clicked on it, didn't I? ;-) )

Edit to add: I read the affidavits, and the ex-boyfriend was involved on the video too. I wouldn't be surprised if he was excessively abusive and had her do this for his pleasure. A person can be beaten down and forced to do a lot of things.

Maybe both she and he were completely 50-50 on it, but as I said, it really depends on what the result of the kiddie porn search is. If she was telling the truth about that, and her ex-boyfriend was that sick, there's no reason not to believe she was also a victim. Especially given that it was "just" the dog licking her crotch, and I can see the boyfriend saying, "Come on, I'm not asking for you to let the dog mount you; I'm just asking for you to let it lick your crotch. Here, have some more tequila."

I didn't say it wasn't bestiality, I was questioning whether she was a willing participant. If there was kiddie porn found as well (and if she was visibly drunk on the video, as she claimed to have been), that to me lends credence to the notion that this ex-boyfriend was a sick pervert who was forcing her to engage in bestiality for his pleasure.

And in point of fact--though I'm no expert on the subject, of course--I'd think, if she actually was into it, she would've also let the dog mount her and fully had sex, instead of "just" letting it lick her crotch. I never said the "ONLY" logical reason was because she was forced to. I said, "It could be 50-50." They're also qualified by what the findings are re: kiddie porn.

But I say you have a problem with women because you're presented with a video shot by a man of a woman engaging in sexual contact with a dog, encouraged and aided by that man, and you call it "the woman's indiscretion." The guy can't bear any blame, I guess.

What it comes down to is that there is still that accusation of child porn; if it's unfounded, then the guy's just guilty of, you know, participating in that bestiality video, and there's no reason to believe the woman was coerced; if they did find child porn, then there's the possibility of something more going on. as any computer nerd (or cop who understands computer forensics) knows, erasing a file does not erase the data in the file, merely the pointer to it.

the space then becomes unallocated and can be written over by other programs but until it is, that data (the files) remain viewable by even a mediocre low level disk search program.

that is why there are DOD level WIPE programs, that actually write over the DATA (several times - don't get me started on electron microscopy) .

erasing a file only erases the POINTER to a file. not the file.

so, she very well may have deleted the file. thinking it actually DELETES the file. which it doesn't.
