For the first time in my life I'm concerned about all the partisan bickering. Before George W Bush, I was a Republican. It didn't use to bother me when a Democrat won and all of us Republicans began to make light of -- and find fault with -- everything they did. It was only normal because the Democrats treated us the same way when we won.
But folks, this time is different.
If Rush Limbaugh or Neal Boortz had been on the radio in 1941, would they have been criticizing FDR for sending troops to Europe ? Why ? Because we were at war -- and as they use to say "Politics stop at the waters edge".
I have news for my Right Wing friends.
We are at war today and we had best remember that. The only difference in this war and wars of the past is that in other wars, had we lost, the soldiers would have come home and we would have started over. This time we are in an economic war, and it involves every American -- man, woman and child. And if we lose, there will be no starting over. If we lose, we will all be paupers.
Let's try and pull together for a change.
