Multinational conglomerate corporations should not be allowed to own media companies.
Corporations are required to "maximize profits for it's shareholders" and thus of a multinational conglomerate corporation owns a media company that media company will ALWAYS become a propaganda outlet for the interests of the corporation, if it didn't heads would roll because "shareholder profits aren't being maximized".

2. Quite correct.
Ever see NBC do a bad story about GE?
And why do sitcoms on ABC invariably have an episode that involves a trip to Disney World?
What financial/mortgage industry interest was financing or producing from behind the scenes tv shows about house flipping and home improvement?

What shows up on your tv screen is no accident. It's called programming for a reason.

And I agree that the "Flip This House" BS was outrageous.

MSNBC's utter silence regarding Stewart's pwnage of Cramer pissed me off.

6. Multinationals or anyone controlling multiple media outlets
Can control regional or national mindsets.

It's all part of the big takeover. Control the presidency, the media, Military-Industrial Complex, Medical-Industrial Complex and whatever else you can think of. Hey!, that sounds like the * Administration.

We may have a new President, but the rest is still in place, alive and sounding off even more than ever.

Time to break it up for good.

7. They shouldn't control public airwaves.
I'm not willing to agree with your statement with respect to all media. However, I think public airwaves, like radio and television, should be operated in the public good and only by entities which are US based.

10. It's not just the public airwaves.
It's other forms of media, too. Clear Chanel needs to be broken up.
