I just watched Jon Stewart vs. Cramer - and everyone else is right: its historic.
Possibly the most important thing I've seen on television in the last ten years.

7. That was definitely not the most important thing I've seen on television in the last 10 years.
It was personally meaningful, but just a ceremony at the end of the day.

He could have been sworn in behind closed doors and the effect would have been the same.

9. Neither.

Ignoring Sinefeld.... watching 9/11 on TV? In many respects the 24/7 coverage was disgusting and had a lot to do with creating the attitudes that facilitated both the war on "terra" and the invasion of Iraq. The coverage itself was not "important" - the event was. So no, I wouldn't put TV coverage of 9/11 up there.

... I do actually think through the statements of opinion I give before I give them, you know.

10. Actually the coverage of 9/11 may not have been "historic," but ...
... there were technicians in the North Tower on 9/11 wotking to keep the signals running as best they could.

The last time something that historic was when TV techs were able to air JFK's funeral live nationwide.

So, I guess it's just a matter of how you define "historic."

11. I just watched it. It was brilliant. It's unbelievable that a comedy cable station guy is
doing what the MSM should have been doing all along.
