1. the whole credit card debt issue has been greatly exaggerated
I belive the average debt of those who carry a balance is only around $2500.00.

2. Only 12.5% are having trouble paying their mortgages
Is that exaggerated, too?

3. I think for a lot of people $2500 is a lot of money.
If I had that it would be upsetting for me.

6. The phrase "having trouble" might be open to interpretation.
A lot of people pay on time, never miss a payment, etc., but they only make the minimum payment. That means they're paying barely anything (if anything at all) off the principal.

But they might vote NO, as in they're not *technically* having trouble making their payments.
