Sorry, Politico. Jindal's "problem" is bigger than comparisons to Kenneth the frigging Page.
This may be ONE of his problems. One of the MINOR ones. He's a dork, to be sure...but it doesn't end there.

Jindal's Kenneth problem

Bobby Jindal has a wunderkind resume: a Rhodes Scholar appointed assistant secretary of Health and Human Services at age 29, elected to the U.S. House at 33 and governor of Louisiana at 36.

Increasingly, though, he’s being likened to Kenneth, the dweeby page on “30 Rock.”

The politically devastating comparisons started popping right up after Jindal delivered the Republican response to President Barack Obama’s address a joint session of Congress. And they’ve spread like wildfire on the Internet.

“Close your eyes and think of Kenneth from ‘30 Rock.’ I can barely count the number of e-mails making that observation,” Andrew Sullivan wrote on his blog minutes after Jindal’s speech. The comparison was also made that night by Talking Points Memo, The Huffington Post and Gawker.

2. I hear you...
...this is linked on Huffington Post's front page. They normally will do an excerpt, but in this situation, it was just a direct link to the full article.

Regardless of the propaganda, it's worth noting that the GOP keeps looking to Jindal as some kind of savior, an innocent "victim" of his own true self, a guy who is a dork and a weasel and a documented LIAR, but with just a little fine tuning, they could "take back the White House."

I posted something here recently in which Jindal was referred to as "Sarah Palin, without her strong points."

I refer to Polticio as politics' answer to TMZ. They and First Read have simply decided that they are THE new "countercultural" anti-MSM blogosphere. It's particularly ironic in MSNBC's case, of course, posting both "mainstream" stories and "subersive" blog posts.

5. If I held elective office, I'd rather be labeled a philanderer, womanizer, heavy drinker
Edited on Sat Mar-07-09 09:44 PM by Gman
and lots of other things that politicians get labeled rather than a dweeb or a dork. Dweeb and dork stick like epoxy glue. Once a dweeb, always a dweeb or dork.

7. Correct me if I'm wrong (I know you will)
Doesn't Kenneth Jindal have to be 45 to run for the Office of the President? Which means that we don't have to put up with him until 2020?

8. Piyush only has to be 35 to run for the office of President. Piyush is eligible.

10. I'm just glad the shallow, gossipy image-analysis is being turned on the Republicans for once.
It's bullshit, but after they used it to destroy Gore and Kerry, it's nice to see them stepping into the line of fire.
