Can these sub-humans be subject to prosecution?

Michael Savage

Rusty Humphries

These are just a few of the vile, neocon loving, Bush suck-ups, who are spewing hatred of the Obama administration, that is teetering close to, if not spilling over into sedition.

Main Entry:
se·di·tion Listen to the pronunciation of sedition
Pronunciation:
\si-ˈdi-shən\
Function:
noun
Etymology:
Middle English sedicioun, from Anglo-French sediciun, from Latin sedition-, seditio, literally, separation, from sed-, se- apart + ition-, itio act of going, from ire to go — more at secede, issue
Date:
14th century

: incitement of resistance to or insurrection against lawful authority

These people clearly are such sore losers, Bush apologists,(or were for most of the Bush terms, until even these asshole's listeners could no longer hold their noses at the stench of Bush policies)historical revisionists, liars, homophobes, sexists, and lastly and most importantly shit pot stirrers, that they actually could foment civilwar here, or at least stir up a few nutjobs, capable of the unthinkable.

So where do we, or where should we draw the line at free speech?

With freedoms come responsibility.

2. I'm in favor of free speech myself. I'm not one of those "dissent is treason" types.
Sounds like you'd be more comfortable with the Hannities of the world, really.

7. Really? So you'd be okay with prosecuting people for this?
sedition: "incitement of resistance to...lawful authority"

You wouldn't have a problem prosecuting people for that?

8. If it leads to violent acts, hell no, I wouldn't have a problem with it.
And it IS leading to violent acts. Look what happened down in Tennessee not too long ago.

Like I said, with freedoms come responsibility.

moran...

I think there may just be a little difference in a music group singing about suicide or murder, and right wing talk show hosts openly stirring up a rebellion against the government.

2 Families Sue Heavy-Metal Band As Having Driven Sons to Suicide

Two days before Christmas in 1985, a pair of young Nevada men shot themselves after listening to albums by the heavy-metal band Judas Priest. Today the rock group and CBS Records went on trial in Washoe County District Court here, accused by the men's families of having driven them to suicide.

''Judas Priest and CBS pander this stuff to alienated teen-agers,'' said Kenneth McKenna, the lawyer for Mr. Belknap's family. ''The members of the chess club, the math and science majors don't listen to this stuff. It's the dropouts, the drug and alcohol abusers. So our argument is you have a duty to be more cautious when you're dealing with a population susceptible to this stuff.'' (emphasis mine)

During an opening statement in court this morning, however, a lawyer for Judas Priest and CBS, Suellen Fulstone, argued that the two youths had lived ''sad and miserable lives,'' and that the problems that led to their deaths began ''long before any connection with heavy-metal music.'' She also said that ''the risk that ideas may cause undesirable behavior'' in a small and unstable segment of the population ''is a small price to pay for a free society.'' (again, emphasis mine)

In at least three previous incidents, in California, Georgia and New Jersey, fans of heavy metal have killed themselves after listening to the album ''Suicide Solution'' by the rock singer Ozzy Ozbourne, another artist who has recorded for CBS. The California case was dismissed before coming to trial when a court ruled that song lyrics were protected by the free speech provisions of the First Amendment. The Georgia case is still pending, and heavy metal is no longer a factor in the New Jersey case.

First it was Judas Priest and Ozzy Osbourne, now it's Michael Savage and Sean Hannity. And you're calling me a "moran"?
