1. cnbc cancelled his appearance.
Edited on Wed Mar-04-09 10:52 PM by City Lights
On edit:

The attention around Mr. Santelli’s views now appears to be a distraction at CNBC. (The New York Times has a content-sharing agreement with the network.) Mr. Santelli declined interview requests on Monday, and the network canceled his appearance on “The Daily Show With Jon Stewart” on Wednesday. “It was time to move on to the next big story,” a CNBC spokesman said.

11. Haven't they learned yet from when McCain cancelled on Letterman?
The show host takes to skewering the guest viciously.

Santelli should have just gone on, taken his lumps for 5 minutes, and it would be forgotten by the weekend.

15. Well, I was glad McCain cancelled on Letterman and Dave had Keith on instead.
It was a great episode.

Still, if McCain had gone on as scheduled, there wouldn't have been two weeks of Dave skewering him nightly in the monologue.

I can see Jon Stewart milking this cancelling for all it's worth.
